A storm that I was following via radar was clearly heading for Omaha and I had about 30 minutes from when I got off work to when it hit. Luckily I made it across town to the Harrah's Casino parking lot and was able to setup the a shot in time to see it develop over Omaha. Unfortunately the high winds and rain knocked over my tripod ending the shot slightly sooner than I had hoped. After the storm there were some extreme downpour rains and low fast moving clouds that I shot while I continued to watch my radar in case another storm rolled in. Documentary Filmmaker Michael Moore is being interviewed at the 2002 Telluride Film Festival about the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Casino was in the process of suing a small family restaurant in Boelus, Nebraska with the same name. Lawyers for the Casino sent paperwork insisting the restaurant change it's name or risk a lawsuit. The restaurant eventually did change their name to the Gold Nugget and the lawsuit was quickly dropped. This is an excerpt from a documentary entitled Golden Nugget. www.600films.com
